About

A leading transplant surgeon specialising in kidney and pancreas transplantation, vascular-access surgery, dialysis/peritoneal-dialysis surgery and renal biopsies. Led the team that performed India's first two kidney-pancreas transplants; pioneered cadaveric renal transplantation in New Delhi; established the paediatric transplant unit and laparoscopic donor nephrectomy program at AIIMS. Vice President, Indian Society of Organ Transplantation; member, Ethics Committee of The Transplantation Society.
