A veteran radiation oncologist and pioneer of stereotactic radiosurgery/radiotherapy (SRS/SRT) in India (1996) and IMRT in North India (2002). Special interest in IGRT, head & neck cancer, brain tumours and breast cancer. President, Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI) 2010–2012; member of the International Advisory Group, International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology & Physics (ASTRO's "Red Journal"); expert panel, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna; member of ASTRO and ESTRO.
