About
Dr. Atul Mathur has more than 34 years in interventional cardiology and leads the discipline and the catheterisation laboratory at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi. He performed the first carotid stenting in India and holds a United States patent for a carotid stenting device. His practice covers complex coronary intervention, carotid stenting, aortic stent grafting, peripheral and venous intervention, IVC filter placement, and structural heart procedures including balloon valvotomy, closure of acquired ventricular septal defects and left atrial appendage closure. He has performed more than 10,000 angiograms and 3,500 coronary interventions.
