Dr. Anita Saxena

About

Dr. Anita Saxena is a paediatric cardiologist with over 40 years in patient care, teaching and research, and is Executive Director of Paediatric Cardiology at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi. She previously headed the Department of Cardiology and led the Cardiothoracic Sciences Centre at AIIMS, New Delhi. She pioneered foetal cardiac diagnostic services in India and wrote national guidelines for the management of paediatric heart disease. She has published 368 research papers, has mentored more than 40 doctoral students, and was listed among the world's top 2% of scientists in 2023.
