Dr. Anil Kumar Anand heads radiation oncology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon, with more than 31 years in the field. He completed his MBBS at Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, and his MD in Radiotherapy and Oncology at PGIMER, Chandigarh, with further training in radiation therapy at the New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens and in head and neck radiotherapy at Middlesex Hospital Medical School, London. He joined Fortis from Max Hospital, Saket, where he had led radiation oncology since 2009, and previously worked at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Batra Hospital and PGIMER. His recent published work includes stereotactic body radiotherapy for recurrent head and neck cancer, and he advises scientific bodies including ICRO and the World Health Organization.
