About
Dr. Rajiv Parakh chairs peripheral vascular and endovascular sciences at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram. He completed his vascular surgery training and a fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in the United Kingdom in 1986, and in 1990 established one of India's first independent departments of vascular surgery at a city hospital. His practice centres on carotid surgery and endovascular intervention, and he introduced endovascular aneurysm repair and carotid artery stenting to India. He is a founder member of the Vascular Society of India and of the Endovascular Intervention Society of India, and served as secretary of the International Society for Vascular Surgery in New York in 2007.
